Charlotte, North Carolina, June 27, 2016—Global anilox roll supplier Harper Corporation of America, the leading innovator in laser engraved ceramic anilox roll production and restoration for printing markets worldwide, drew crowds of interested professionals at the recent drupa 2016 trade fair as it exhibited several of its top products. The event attracted around 260,000 visitors from 188 countries who were interested in learning about technology innovations, further developments, and new business lines.

One of the highlights of the show was Harper’s HIVE (High Imaging Volume Engraving) line of engravings series which delivers high levels of quality and predictability with exclusive print performance. This line includes Harper’s exclusive Patent Pending Cladless Anilox Sleeve Technology, which features no aluminum cladding, lighter weight, corrosion resistance, and more.

Another big hit drawing significant interest was Harper’s award-winning patented QD™ ink proofing and flatbed printing system. This system has become the color-matching proofer of choice by many of the leading ink manufacturers. With the expansion of functional printing into the flexo and gravure markets, Harper has developed printing features and accessories that minimize the amount of expensive materials necessary to test printed electronic concepts and ideas. Harper has also expanded the engraving geometries and volumes for the proofers to accommodate the different deposit properties of functional inks needed for functional and printed electronics.

The new QD™ Laboratory Master Flatbed Printer also generated a lot of positive attention. This printer features a module construction with programmable travel speed and digital display allowing travel speeds to be set in inches or centimeters and maximum speeds of 1000in/minute or 2500cm/minute.
