Charlotte, North Carolina, September 9, 2016—Global anilox roll supplier Harper Corporation of America is committed to improving flexographic printing technology and education. The company has joined forces with seven other industry leaders at Labelexpo Americas 2016 to create an interactive game that presents the latest advancements in Flexo printing technology.
The interactive game takes participants through various aspects of supply chain management by connecting them with a partnering company. Game boards are available at each participating company’s booth. Contestants travel from one stop to the next on the board, collecting “game pieces” or labels as they go in exchange for basic contact information. Once the game board is complete, it can be entered into a drawing at the end of the show for a chance to win Amazon gift cards and a complimentary seminar hosted by Clemson’s Sonoco Institute of Packaging and Graphics.
Each industry partner contributed to the production of the game board through their available services: Esko (prepress services), MacDermid (plates), Sun Chemical (inks), Harper Corporation of America (anilox rolls), Flexo Concepts (TruPoint Orange® doctor blades), UPM Raflatac (label stock), and OMET (Varyflex press). Printing and converting were handled by Clemson University’s Sonoco Institute of Packaging and Graphics.
Harper Corporation of America encourages attendees to visit the company's booth, number 401, at the event and pick up a game board and game piece. Labelexpo Americas 2016 will be held September 13-15 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois.
